Sketches and Ideation

Final type and color palette decisions. High contrast in color palette with easy navigation and readability in mind. I chose Univia for its legibility, being a modern sans serif typeface. In addition, Univia is ideal for electronic platforms due to its superelliptical form.
Digital Exploration

Of the first three digital explorations, the only color palette i found to be potentially successful was the first. The remainder were creating a busy feeling, I deemed a potential detriment to user navigation. I ultimately decided to ultimately abandon the first color palette, as the blues had too little contrast against each other as well as the white background.
Explorations in problem solving codeshare flights, which had to be approached differently than the presentation of other flights. I explored using logos of the airlines, attempting to create an easy identification to the viewer, however I feel that it distracted from the intended message.
Explorations exploring home page and tertiary information presentations. In the final I decisions made for the home page, I integrated ligatures to create some visual interest and branding identity. As for the tertiary information, I decided to include it on the bottom of every page navigation, so it was easy to find for the user. I also decided to open up the leading a little to help with easy readability, as the type was smaller than the rest of the information on the navigation pages with the intent of following hierarchy.
Final design decisions on troubleshooting home page, flight navigation and hierarchy, codeshare flights, and tertiary information.
